Healing Drum Retreat – Hide and Seek
Okay, we’re really taking a serious jump in the play of words! At the Healing Drum Retreat we start early, Friday evening, with a drum making class. The hide is an important choice in drum making, and Kaye can share more about this with you in a phone conversation when you call her to sign up for drum making.
Each hide, or animal, has its own strengths and offerings:
- Horses are amazing communicators, are experts at team work, and are able to connect and share their strength and endurance
- Buffalo is strong, proud, and sacred. The buffalo also brings a strong heart connection, as seen intuitively by Estee
- Elk offers that majestic quality, with grace and strength combined
The two big group drums we have at the Healing Drum Retreat are elk and buffalo. Many participants bring their own drums.
Now we’ve covered the hiding part, what about seeking?
What is it that you seek? We will spend time Saturday morning giving focus to what you want, take a meditative journey to speak to your totem council, and preparing an honorable release. There is more to this story, growing into your next step, and we’ll cover that in detail at the Healing Drum Retreat. Estee says this is a fun way to create a healing change in our lives, and when we have fun with our healing process the change happens quickly, sometimes instantaneously!
