Being The Passionate Observer
There are two types of outward relationships: observing and participating. Sharing with the people in our lives is participating or interactive, at least its intended to be! Watching TV is observing, and while it may stimulate feelings and thoughts it cannot give us recognition. Being the observer in life is much different, and we must dismiss the idea that it is disconnected, distant, or uncaring.
The observer position takes a different stance. When we step into observation mode we can assess both the flowing moments and the bumpy ones without creating a false sense of self or knocking ourselves down. Being the observer gives us a perspective that is “outside the story”.
When we are the observer we can be forgiving, compassionate, and appreciate both the highs and the lows. Being the observer is different when we are interacting with life instead of a simulation of life such as television, novels, gaming, or fantasies. When we are interacting within our own life or the interactivity with others we are able to shift the energy individually or collectively. When in your lifetime has a tv show every shifted its energy to be in greater harmony with you?
There are times in life, many we hope, when we jump full force into our life experiences. Remember to have times as the observer, too, but take that journey from the heart and you will never lose touch of your purpose and passion.
