Introduction
The title of this book is, “Now is the Time to Believe”. I chose the title not so much as a statement but more of an invitation. I believe it is time to step in to the insightful, knowing space we so rightly deserve.
We live in a world with great challenges, trials and tribulations, and many say this is the most difficult of times, but that same song has been sung over and over throughout history. When will we ever step off the merry-go-round? Now is the time to believe, and build the world we want to live in.
Allow me to return for a moment to the inspirational material I spoke of earlier in the preface of this book: I noticed that the author of “Miracles Past and Present” at one point grouped all believers or persons of faith to be in the same category, whether they are traditional clergy, spiritualists, seers, healers and the like. All the teachers and spiritual leaders today do all seek a similar outcome: the awakening to ideas and abilities that we thought were only in our dreams.
“True, thousands and tens of thousands of clergymen preach the supernatural, and millions of persons, week by week, sit and hear them.” (1).
Faith, in the spiritual sense, cannot be owned by any one group, sect or tribe. Faith, honor, and belief belong to a higher power, something universal. We have taken our messages out of the secret societies and into our internet, video and music. We have seen the interaction and blending of individual group messages and seen new thoughts and opportunities emerge.
One thing that sets us apart from our ancestors is the instant availability of knowledge. We have available to us the knowledge of where we have been and the lessons we have learned. We have the expansive, instantaneous communication channels with television, cell phones and the internet.
Today there are many wonderful speakers and teachers who share their ideas and insights through these many forms of media and send their messages around the world. No one can say “I have nothing to work with”, for there is more offered to us today than in any other point in history.
One of the many challenges we face these days is the illusion of time, and the strange feeling that time is running out. The world is changing, from the inside out, with shifts in the magnetic poles.
Time does appear to be speeding up as the magnetic pull of the planet is changing, so it is no wonder that we feel that our every day is like a marathon. But Time is anything but a limitation, for the segmented flow of time, like the ticking of a clock, gives us opportunity to have directed focus, when we choose to use it.
We have abilities that can take us in any direction, and carry us to places far beyond our worldly comprehension. The only thing standing in our way is our own perceived limitations. The good news: if we own the lock we also own the key.
I see, and believe, that this time in history is the time to step out of the space of seeking a savior. No, I don’t mean that we should not believe, or appreciate the love, support and guidance we are offered.
Instead, I suggest that now is the time that we step out of looking outside of ourselves: The savior is within. We say absolutely nothing when we say “we are a part of the Divine”. Just as my own son stated to me, it’s time to stop talking and start doing. Our voice can be heard when we become the living manifestation of Divinity.
Our message can be seen when we live our lives with recognition, honor, and grace. Now is the time for us to recognize the presence of miracles in our every day. Those acts, the miracles, come about not from the physical force we exert, but the flow of the “all-that-is” that fills us to such an extent that it cannot help but overflow into the world around us. Now is the time to believe, and we are fortunate to have so many others who share in this journey.
Our existence is miraculous, but if we walk the same steps as yesterday, again and again, we forget how wonderful life truly is. Our ability to envision is miraculous, as are so many other abilities. There is no reason for us to detach from the wonder of our own being. We place far more value on our earthly ways, the part of us that is our creation, than we do in our own consciousness. Beauty is all around us, why do we let our eyes to see so little, and silence our hearts from speaking our own truth?
In this book we will explore the concepts of faith, trust, and belief, and open the door to the possibility that the art of the miracle is within. Now is the time to believe, and we are fortunate to have so many others who share this dream.
