The Energy that Surrounds Us
We’ve a lot planned for this next Healing Drum Retreat Sept 18-20, 2009. This event, held at the Hope Grange in Winlock, Washington, will include drumming, group intentions, release and restore techniques, clearing the communication between ourselves and others, and more!
On Sunday we will finish our beaded feather fans, and learn about the energy that surrounds us. This energy field is called the aura. Some are able to see the aura, others feel it with their hands. In this workshop we will explore the shifts that occur in our auric field, and learn simple techniques for sweeping our auric energy with our own feather fans.
The techniques we use are easy to learn and focus on self healing, meaning that you act as a facilitator who assists others to heal themselves. This empowers both the healer and the recipient.
Our aura can hold energies from past experiences, emotions, and energies we pick up from others. Even though we don’t consciously focus on our own aura, or the auric field of others, we do perceive this energy emanating around us. By clearing this energy field and sweeping the energy fully around the body we can feel more centered and light.
