Meet Me in the Middle
This recent Healing Drum Retreat preceded the fall equinox by a matter of days. The equinox has significance for our planet, marking the change of seasons and the shift of balance from light to darkness.
Is there any significance to us now with our electric lights and 24/7 availability through the internet? Life is full of cycles, and we must honor that aspect of life. Waking hours are followed by sleep, inhale followed by exhale and so on.
During the Sunday morning meditation time Estee called attention to the idea that we have the balance of equality only two days out of the 365. Does this mean that we should live out of balance, out in the extremes? Not at all. “We’re meant to be involved in our lives, living with passion and belief in what we are working toward. But we have the ability to be in the middle, where we can see both sides of the story, or the whole spectrum of colors we use to paint our pictures.”
“Meet Me in the Middle” was the theme in this equinox meditation and intention setting prayer. We have many resources on both a spiritual and physical level, and we are always in the middle. We set intent to bring those resources together in our creations, with honor and blessings. Aho.
