Campfire Crazy Story Time!
What’s the best part of having a campfire? It’s the stories that are shared!
The campfire pit was rarely out cold through the entire weekend, and from breakfast until late in the evening we had people gathering around the fire pit. We usually have the campfire only saturday evening, but at our June location we had a lot more latitude in our schedule. The drum making shifted to Saturday, and we had time for a campfire drumming session on Friday night.
The stars were amazing, and we were all surprised to see the cloud cover roll in but leave a big opening for the big dipper, almost directly above us.
We drummed for a while, singing native songs, and eventually wandered into more contemporary music. Then the story began. Each person had to add their own portion, and you never knew what the person before you would leave for you to finish off!
