Recommended Reading: The Last Ghost Dance
The Last Ghost Dance is a book written by Brooke Medicine Eagle. I truly enjoyed reading this book, it gave me a glimpse beyond the native american perspective and brought in a global view.
The story of the Last Ghost Dance refers to a time many years ago when the natives dressed in their spiritual ghost dance shirts. This scared the cavalry, giving them the perception that the dance was for war, and because of this they shot the dancers while they were still dancing.
The shaman saw our future, this time, our time.
“Our time of awakening has come. It is time for the new Ghost Dance, which in fact becomes the Last Ghost Dance. This time we will be able to dance the vision fully into the ground of the earth and make it real.”
This book talks about many wonderful things we can do for the planet. We can do much for one another, to come together in oneness, and see the world as it should be.
I highly recommend this book, giving it the Tahwakeena Five-Star rating.
