Healing Drum Retreat

We have a tendency to hold on to things, thoughts, the past, and our emotions.   When we do this it creates great complexity in our lives.   Our stories often define us, giving us structure within our lives.  This is not always a happy place, though, not if we carry with us half-truths and misunderstandings.

My focus in every one of my teaching, writing and counseling venues is to help others see beyond the illusions of their stories.  This does not mean writing off any part of life, for every step we take is of value.  No, this means bringing honor to our blessed moments.  It also means bringing clarity and completion to those experiences that have fallen short, or spun off into a belief that does not fit with our true self.  Behind every lie we will always find our truth.

Renewal comes when we release those misconceptions and half truths.  There is a cycle to this personal transformation: awakening, or the realization that we are not the story; clarity, seeing the story in its true light, not in the polar extremity that holds that thought in place; release, the act of letting go of that part of us so that we may step into the final step of the cycle; Renewal, letting ourselves step into our truth, our next step in life, and more fully experiencing our journey as we walk the earth plane.

This completes this series of posts about the upcoming Healing Drum Retreat, but 10 is certainly not the end!  This weekend long event is packed with many more wonderful experiences!  There is still time to register for the Healing Drum Retreat – this next weekend!!   March 20, 21, 22 in the year 2009.
