Drum Making- Who where & how? Part 2 of 3
One the questions that is asked is “where and when can I make a drum?”
Great question, and easy to answer. You can make a drum at the Healing Drum Retreat. The next retreat is in March 2009. Don’t wanna wait that long? You can have a drum making party!
For groups of five or more we can arrange a drum making party just about anywhere in Western Washington. Okay, fly me there and we’ll have your class just about anywhere!!
Here’s the set up we need for a class:
- People – at least five making drums, helpers are welcome as well, but minimum 5 drums
- Tables – big enough to hold all the drums in progress, about 2 sq ft per person
- Towels – the hides are wet when we begin, and we want to protect the tables
- Fun, Laughter, and a desire to walk in the light
It’s recommended that you schedule several weeks in advance so we can be prepared with the rawhides and other supplies. Deposits are required, and pricing varies depending on the supplies and number of drums to be made that day.

Where will this workshop take place?
- Does your community or complex have a community center ? We can email you a flyer so you can promote your event, thereby reducing overall costs. Fundraisers are honored, and we are more than willing to work with you and your group for worthy causes.
- Drum workshops can be arranged in Yelm, Washington. Contact us using our contact form to make arrangements.
- You may have enough room in your own home to host the event for your friends and family
