Many a DreamCatcher
The Labor Day weekend was amazing! Estee, Kaye, and Billy worked together at a Brighton Creek Conference Center fundraising event, providing kits and instructions in making medicine bags and dreamcatchers.
We were busy! Billy said that they made over 75 dreamcatchers the first day, and we busily cut more cedar branches Monday morning to keep up with the flow of people.
Kaye and Estee worked with kids and adults, as many as 10 at a time, helping each person make their medicine bag. Everyone had a great time choosing beads and other decorations for their bag, and we had many beautiful creations throughout the weekend. Young and old treasured their medicine bags, and many returned to share the energy and enhance their creations.
We can call this weekend a warm-up for the upcoming Healing Drum Retreat in Yelm, Washington the weekend of September 19-21, 2008. We will have a dreamcatcher class, and for those who have not yet made a medicine bag we will have those supplies available as well.
